Are you eating enough?

This is my biggest struggle on my journey. Eating ENOUGH! Healthy choices mean lower caloric content. I’m not a very  hungry person in general, and I have been known to go all day and “forgetting” to eat.

In the beginning of my journey, I noticed my scale was just not wanting to budge much, if at all. I looked at my eating habits and knew that while I was eating healthy, I just was not eating enough.

I contacted my own Beach Body Coach, and explained my dilemma to her. She was extremely helpful and gave me several tips that I’d like to share with  you here.

* Aim for eating small meals- every three hours or so.

*Focus on making your three main meals around 300 calories each, and your two snacks 100-150 calories

*Almonds! This one tip has been invaluable to me! I get the 100 cal packs of almonds and keep some in my purse and at home. If I know I need to eat something, but I’m just not  hungry- I grab a pack. Almonds are SO nutrient rich and good for you and I don’t feel like I’m having to eat a meal.

I hope some of these things are helpful. And if you are struggling to lose weight even though you are making wiser choices, take a look at your calorie intake. Its possible you are not eating enough and causing your body to go into starvation mode. Once I started paying attention to what I was eating and when, the weight started dropping! It really makes a big difference.

As always, feel free to contact me if you need help and encouragement.
